Ami Dhame
I currently take politics, Spanish and English Literature at A-level and I am constantly learning about current affairs, both globally and here in Sheffield! I study a lot of essay based subjects and I learn about gothic texts that intertwine with feminism. I also work at McDonalds so I have an active role in the workplace and I am aware of what shapes an excellent place to work for.
Sheffield is where I study and where I spend most of my time, I want to see the city grow and constantly create more opportunities, especially for young people.
The importance of young people’s involvement, especially in this current day and age is increasingly important as they realise their importance in society- they all have an individual role to play and will have to continue to contribute to society throughout their lives. It is crucial that they have a part in shaping their city and their input is heard as they are currently living through the issues that are yet to be addressed thoroughly.
